FLUIDIC – Sculpture in Motion: An Innovation in Design

In the realm of design and innovation, an impressive project has made its mark. FLUIDIC – Sculpture in Motion is a revolutionary installation showcasing a suspended point cloud. This extraordinary setting is built up with 12,000 tiny, clear globes. Despite appearing haphazard, their placement and projection angles are decided through a sophisticated computer algorithm.

Laser Work in Play

Around the installation, eight high-speed laser projectors are arranged. They throw dense beams of light at the point cloud which brightens up the spheres upon touch. This strategic light play brings the installation to life in a breathtaking spectacle.

The brains behind this masterpiece are Hyundai, Innocean Worldwide from South Korea, and Whitevoid Berlin from Germany. Showcasing exceptional design elements, the project bagged a Red Dot Award in Brands & Communication Design category in 2013.

This installation is a source of inspiration for aspiring designers, art enthusiasts and brands focusing on innovative communication methods. FLUIDIC – Sculpture in Motion exemplifies how design, when infused with creativity and technology, can mesmerize the audience. It truly pushes the boundary of typical design concepts.
